Oxin Complex in Amol of Mazandaran will host International Fajr tournament

The 2nd International Chess Stars Cup was inaugurated on July 11th in Anzali International Conference Hall, Iran by participation of seven international grandmasters, as World Stars Team team (GM Baadur Jobava,GM Loek van Wely GM Alexei Shirov, GM Eltaj Safarli, GM Lázaro Bruzón, GM Ivan Sokolov and GM Wen Yang ), and eight Iranian best players (GM Parham Maghsoodloo, GM Ehsan Ghaemmaghami , GM Pouya Idani , GM Amirreza Pourramzanali, IM Masoud Mosadeghpour, IM Alireza Firouzja, IM Mohammadamin Tabatabaei, IM Khalil Mousavi ), as Iran Stars Team.

INVITATION Hamadan Chess Association under the auspices of Chess Federation of I.R. Iran has the honour to invite all players of national chess federations to participate in the "14th Avicenna Cup, International Chess Festival" to be organized in Hamadan, Iran from 21st August (arrival) to 28th August (departure) 2017.

FIDE publishes August 2017 FIDE Rating List. The list of top players is published at Top lists page of FIDE ratings website. All players can check new ratings at the main page of FIDE ratings website. In August Rating list, Iran's rank in the world in 33th with average of 2526 so among Asian countires Iran placed 3rd rank after China (World number 2) and India (World number 5). Among Iranian players Parham Maghsoodloo with rating of 2590 is top seed. Pouya Idani (2569) and Mohammadamin Tabatabaei (2545) are second and third seeds. In women section, Sarasadat Khadem (2433) is the Iranian highest rated player.
